 As #ENDSARS protest by the Nigeria youth against the police brutality continue to gain strength, the Presidency has released a statement through the official twitter account of Personal Assistant on New Media to President MBuhari -Bashir Ahmad that  "A Presidential Panel’s recommendation; 37 former members of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad have been pencilled down for dismissal from service and 24 others will be prosecuted for various acts of professional misconduct, the Police Service Commission reveals." He also claimed that "The Government on top of the situation Several meetings have been held with; Pres. @MBuhari, VP @ProfOsinbajo, SP @DrAhmadLawan, Speaker @femigbaja, the Chief of Staff to President, Chairman, Police Service Commission, the IG of @PoliceNG, the ES of @NHRCNigeria and governors." Osinbajo Apologises to the Nigerian Youths

 The Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has made official public statements on his twitter handle apologising to the Nigerian youths on their negligence in many areas especially the issues of police brutality. This is the full version of what he said: "Dear Nigerians, I know that many of you are angry, and understandably so. We could’ve moved faster and for this we are sorry. I fully understand how many young people feel. Many feel that we have been too silent and have simply not done enough. These feelings of frustration are justified. There are far too many people who have been brutalised at the hands of the police and this is unacceptable. We must take responsibility for protecting young people, even sometimes from those who are paid to protect them.  #EndSARS protesters in Edo state attacked: Two persons died when protesters and some thugs clashed at Ring Road, Benin during the #EndSARS protest. One of the male victims was shot dead while the other was macheted by hoodlums at Ring Road near the palace of the Oba of Benin. Meanwhile, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki (GGO) has taken to twitter to voice his opinion and this is what he said: "thorough investigation would be conducted immediately to fish out the culprits of the attack on peaceful #EndSAR protesters in Benin City, and we would do all possible within the law to ensure those culpable are brought to justice".
